Mentoring Day Opens the Door to New Opportunities

Wednesday, August 21 was a great day! Six people from DakotAbilities had an opportunity to job shadow at six different area businesses. We thank Vicki Stewart with Employment Disability Resources for working with us on their second annual Mentoring Day. Also, a big shout out to our own Megan Anderson for coordinating everything with EDR, employers, mentees, and vocational rehab counselors.

The participating businesses were PetSmart, Nyberg's ACE Hardware, Great Plains Zoo, Avera Health, Schulte Subaru, and Serendipity Studio.

Thanks to all who participated! It was a wonderful learning and growth experience.
